The Transgender Resource Centre (TRC) was established by the Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension, University of Delhi in March 2018, with the aim to mainstream the third gender in higher education, and in society so that they can earn a better livelihood and live their life happily. The objective of TRC is two-fold, to sensitize the community and to empower them to become self-reliant by learning. TRC is continuously trying to create a transgender-friendly atmosphere in the University’s premises as well as in society.
The Transgender Resource Centre also prepared a policy for transgender students to safeguard their rights.
